Xbox LIVE has been having some pretty big weeks since the Summer of Arcade Promo ended. Not skipping a beat this week either, the Xbox’s download service plunks down bunch of downloadables for your gaming dollar.

Probably the chief release this week is the Games on Demand debut of the PC hit Crysis. As a single player only affair, the XBLA release of the game touts improved graphics and sound as well as all of the stuff that the original had. You know, all the stuff that you couldn’t really enjoy because it smacked your PC over the head with ‘Maximum Strength’?

XBLA

  • NBA JAM: On Fire edition – the same game that saw a full retail release last year but bumped up with new stuff and a cheaper price tag. 1200mspts
  • Orcs Must Die! – Tower defense with an offensive twist. 1200mspts
  • Space Channel 5 – The Dreamcast singin and dancin classic. 800mspts
  • Sega Bass Fishing – Fishing. For Bass. That everybody loves for some reason. 800mspts

Games on Demand

  • Crysis – See above. $19.99

Avatar Marketplace

  • Batman: Arkham City
  • Guardian Heroes

Deal of the Week – Never be Boared Again (oof)

All of the following board game themed titles are half off at 400mspts

  • Catan
  • Magic the Gathering: Duel of the Plainswalkers 2012
  • Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D’s
  • Hasbro Family Game Night: Battleship

Come to think of it, I really like NBA JAM- so I guess I have two picks for this week. It’s a Crysis JAM!!
