A little news story over at Gamasutra got me very excited this morning; Valve has rolled out a Beta for Steam Mobile.
Now, at the moment it's a non-gaming application. You'll only be able to chat with friends, do some browsing of user profiles and the like, and view screenshots and other user-generated content.
You will, however, be able to purchase games, which is a nice touch - see a game you like and impulse buy. Just what our wallets needed.
And, who knows where the platform can go in the future? Between Steam and OnLive, the iPad and other tablet devices are becoming very robust bits of gaming equipment.
