PQube is partnering with developer Full Stop Studios to publish its cozy village-life RPG, The Detectorist Guild. It is set in Yorkshire at the turn of the millennium; the game puts you into a quintessential British village with your handy metal detector, where you can find lost treasures and unravel a local mystery. Today’s announcement trailer showcases the gameplay loop and focuses on exploration, quests and collecting, all set against a beautifully designed nostalgic British backdrop.

Travel to a peaceful English countryside village called Shiverly and take on the role of James, a budding detectorist. Help the eccentric villagers find their prized possessions while also unearthing artifacts that reveal the past. Shiverly might seem cozy and charming, but deep down lies a dark secret that changes everything James knows about his peaceful village life.

The Detectorist Guild boasts “accurately simulated” metal-detecting mechanics, such as adjustable frequency, ground balance, and sensitivity controls, providing an authentic experience. You can choose to donate relics to the city’s museum to learn more about its history or sell the antiques for a profit at the local emporium.
