Catto’s Post Office is coming to Switch

Adventure game Catto’s Post Office has been available for PC for nearly a year, and now, its developer has announced it will launch for Nintendo Switch this week. As the town’s dedicated Postcat, Catto delivers mail to the townsfolk and meets friends in a cat-themed (and filled) town. Explore, indulge your cat-like instincts, and solve a mystery: it’s your birthday, but everyone has forgotten!

Here are the game’s key features, via In Shambles Studio:

  • Charming Open World – Explore a vibrant cat-themed town with buildings you can enter, such as a bakery, a florist, and a cafe. Admire the whimsical theming, such as pawprints on doors and cat-shaped rubber duckies, and see what easter eggs you can discover. (For example, there are only cat-friendly plants and flowers in town!)
  • Deliver Packages and Make Friends – Make deliveries around town and meet eccentric kitty residents as you go. Assist your new feline friends by completing silly tasks and unravel funny conversations with multiple dialogue choices.
  • Everybody Wants to Be a Cat – Meow whenever you want! Hide inside boxes! Knock over plant pots, cans, and even more besides! Did we mention you can meow whenever you want? Seriously, meow whenever you want. (Meow.)
  • A Wholesome Narrative Adventure – It’s Catto’s birthday and nobody’s remembered – oh no! Be whiskered away by this heartwarming tale about a hardworking Postcat who learns just how valued he is by the friends he helps every day.
  • Short and Sweet – Taking only one hour to complete, this is the perfect snackable experience to snuggle up with for a cozy evening this winter!

Developed and published by In Shambles Studio, Catto’s Post Office will be released for Nintendo Switch on June 25. It is currently available for PC via Steam.

Cozy detective game Case Solved launching for more platforms than originally announced

When cozy noir detective puzzle game Case Solve was announced, PC was the only platform mentioned. Last week, Minimol Games expanded the mystery game’s reach, revealing it would also be released for iOS/Android, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox Series. In the game, explore Scotland while solving three hand-crafted and hand-drawn investigations. Each mystery functions as a closed logic puzzle, similar to Zebra puzzles (my favourite is Murdle).

Scotland Yard has hired you after several murders sweep the city. Clues aren’t lining up, and everyone is putting the ‘sus’ into ‘suspect.’ Only your logic can crack the case: you will interrogate, gather statements, hunt for hidden clues, and poke holes in stories on your quest to uncover the truth. The gameplay is relaxed and features no timers, so you can enjoy the game at your own pace.

Developed by Minimol Games and published by SpecNext, Case Solved will be released for iOS/Android, PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox Series later this year.

Finally, the first trailer for Harvest Moon: Echoes of Teradea!

I dislike it when games are announced without trailers, and that’s what happened with Harvest Moon: Echoes of Teradea. When it was announced three months ago, there were only screenshots. But Natsume finally decided to reveal the game’s trailer last week. In the open-world game, you head to Teradea for a peaceful farm life, but you also find thrilling adventure. A mysterious mist is seeping out from the Forest of Echoes, wild beasts roam at night, and strange disasters threaten villages across the land. The landscape is filled with hidden caves, remote islands, and lively towns.

Build your farm from the ground up, make new friends, and perhaps find love, all while shaping your own destiny. Travel alongside your animals, who have special abilities to help you cross terrain, break through obstacles, and uncover treasures. Become allies with the Harvest Goddess and ingenious inventor Doc Jr., befriend Guardian Spirits, and take on the mystery of the looming darkness.

Developed by IMAGICA GEEQ and published by Natsume, Harvest Moon: Echoes of Teradea will be released for PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, Switch 2, Switch, and Xbox Series on September 24.

Two Point Museum update adds Dave the Diver collaboration and more

SEGA and Two Point Studios have launched the version 10.0 update for Two Point Museum (my current favourite game). Now, strange rifts are opening up, leading to other worlds in a place called The Digiverse. This time, it brings us to the stunning depths of the Blue Hole. You can find new fish and a handful of relics of the Sea People, and you can recreate their underwater village using special decorations. But what to do with all the fish? Open your own Bancho Sushi bar to feed your guests fresh fish—an edible exhibit!

Two Point Studios turns ten this year, and to celebrate, you can now dress your staff in two new outfits, the Cake Topper and the Party Hat. Get guests involved with the Anniversary Cake, a self-serve cake display.

This last thing is a big one: once a Point of Interest reaches its maximum Survey Level, you can select which exhibit you’d like to find. It doesn’t mean it will be Pristine quality, and it does cost more time and money, but it means you’re guaranteed to get the chosen exhibit and that’s pretty nifty!

Developed by Two Point Studios and published by SEGA, Two Point Museum is currently available for PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, Switch 2, and Xbox Series.

Lindsay picked up an NES controller for the first time at the age of 6 and instantly fell in love. She began reviewing GBA games 20 years ago and quickly branched out from her Nintendo comfort zone. She has has developed a great love of life sims and FMV titles. For her, accessibility is one of the most important parts of any game (but she also really appreciates good UI).
