The key art for Thrifty Business.

I’ll be honest: I’m still obsessed with Sticky Business. I’ve been obsessed with it since I reviewed it for PC, and I now play it on Nintendo Switch as well. Since then, developer Spellgarden Games has released the cozy, witchy farming sim Ritual of Raven. Now, it has announced a new title that brings players closer to its Sticky Business roots: Thrifty Business!

This nostalgic management sim has players running their own laid-back thrift shop. Sort through boxes to find hidden treasures, then arrange displayers of clothes, antiques, toys, and more. Befriend customers while fulfilling requests, eventually expanding your store into a hub for the local community. (We have a place like this in Ottawa, and they do amazing work for its surrounding community and unhoused population.)

Here is the game’s description, via Spellgarden Games:

Run your very own thrift shop in this laid-back management sim! Sort through boxes to find hidden treasures and arrange nostalgic displays of clothes, antiques, toys & more. Befriend the regulars, help with their requests and expand your store into a hub for the local community!

In Thrifty Business, you’ll set up and manage your very own 90’s-inspired vintage thrift shop. Adjust your layout and organize your shelves and racks to the finest detail. Group your wares by colour, theme, purpose, or whatever you like. The more organized your store is, the more community points you’ll get to unlock new goodies! As business grows, you might even need to expand into the adjacent rooms!

Unlock furniture, decorations, wallpaper & floors to create a beautiful community space that brings everybody together! It’s so much more than just a store. Listen to your customer’s stories and try to fulfill their requests. You can also unlock and host hobbyist events, turning your business into a treasured third space for locals!

Developed and published by Spellgarden Games, Thrift Business will be released for PC via Steam in 2026.

Lindsay picked up an NES controller for the first time at the age of 6 and instantly fell in love. She began reviewing GBA games 20 years ago and quickly branched out from her Nintendo comfort zone. She has has developed a great love of life sims and FMV titles. For her, accessibility is one of the most important parts of any game (but she also really appreciates good UI).
