In the Mega Dimension DLC, players revisit Lumiose when spatial distortions begin to form. Donet chef Ansha and her companion Mythical Pokémon Hoopa guide players through these dimensions, known as Hyperspace Lumiose. It’s Lumiose City, but also… not. Hyperspace Lumiose is the home of Mega-Evolved Pokémon and other Pokémon not available in the “real” Lumiose. Some of these Pokémon can exceed the level 100 limit with hyperspace levels.
When Hoopla is given one of Ansha’s donuts, it transforms the distortions into portals to hyperspace. Donuts are created by using Berries to create donuts that have different effects in hyperspace. Potent Hyperspace Berries are useful for taking on high-level Pokémon in Hyperspace Lumiose.
Trainers will gain new allies, including Korrina, a successor to a line of Mega Evolution gurus determined to encounter every Mega-Evolved Pokémon. Explore Hyperspace Lumiose, uncover its secrets, and deal with the city’s strange events.
The Mega Dimension DLC includes two new Mega evolutions for Chimecho and Baxcalibur. Here are descriptions of each evolution, via The Pokémon Company:
When Chimecho Mega Evolves, six smaller copies appear and flutter endlessly, even when no wind is blowing. When Chimecho cries, the echoes of its copies overlap and resonate, creating an intense sound-wave attack that can overwhelm any opponent.
Baxcalibur becomes even more formidable thanks to Mega Evolution, generating more ice energy and wielding a back blade that has grown larger and more powerful. With the sheer weight of this blade, it can cleave or smash nearly anything in its path. Players can obtain the Mega Stone needed to evolve Baxcalibur from the Z-A Battle Club as a reward for advancing in online Ranked Battles.
Every Pokémon Legends: Z-A player can now claim a Diancite Stone through Pokémon Legends: Z-A’s Mystery Gift feature. It unlocks the opportunity to encounter and catch the Jewel Pokémon Diancie through an extra side mission. After claiming the stone, players need to visit the Looker Bureau. Emma’s partner Pokémon, Mimi the Espurr, takes an interest in the Mega Stone, beginning the mission. By completing the mission, players can add Diancie to their team and use the Diancite stone to Mega Evolve it into Mega Diancie, its radiant Mega Evolution.
Developed by Game Freak and published by The Pokémon Company, Pokémon Legends: Z-A is available digitally and physically for Switch 2 and Switch. The Pokémon Legends: Z-A Mega Dimension DLC will be released on December 10 for both platforms.
