Buri Games has announced a November release date for PIERCING, a rhythm-action game for PC and Steam Deck. Play as Lin, a tailor whose hometown is destroyed by monsters. While fleeing, you meet the Sage, who offers you food and water for playing a game. The penalty for losing is a piercing. A new trailer for PIERCING has also been revealed.

Here is more about the gameplay, via Buri Games:

PIERCING is a rhythm-action game where you smash every panel to the beat. Break all of the connected panels in one continuous path, then shatter the red devil statue to clear the stage. Rough, hand-drawn animation and the satisfying crunch of breaking statues make for an addictive feel. The game features 59 stages, and an endless mode unlocks after you clear the game.

Failing a stage doesn’t mean total failure, but you do have to pierce your childhood friend Asha’s ear. This experience for the player is described as a painful and sensual ear-piercing simulator that recreates every step of the process. Be gentle. The game features 30 types of earrings.

Developed and published by Buri Games, PIERCING will be released for PC via Steam on November 13.

She has has developed a great love of life sims and FMV titles. For her, accessibility is one of the most important parts of any game (but she also really appreciates good UI).
