Frogwares nails down a launch date for The Sinking City 2

It’s been one hell of a journey for The Sinking City 2. For one, the developers are making it in a country at war. Secondly, it was supposed to launch in 2025. Then in the first half of 2026. But we’re finally here: a release date has been announced slightly outside that window, in August. The survival horror game (a new genre for Frogwares) will launch for PC and consoles.

Here is a description of the game, via Frogwares:

The Sinking City 2 is set in a Lovecraftian vision of 1920s America, in the infamous city of Arkham. A supernatural flood has driven out all but the most deranged residents, leaving decay and eldritch horrors that roam the streets. Step into the role of Calvin Rafferty, an occult adventurer whose cavalier actions have led to devastating consequences. After a dreaming ritual goes wrong, his girlfriend, Faye, is left trapped in a mysterious sleep. Now Calvin must navigate the drowned streets of a derelict city in a desperate attempt to bring her back. On his quest, he’ll come face to face with a plague of otherworldly creatures, the Slither, who possess and twist the dead into lethal, walking puppets.

Developed and published by Frogwares, The Sinking City 2 will be released for PC via Steam/Epic/GOG, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series on August 18.

The local police think the death was an accident, but the evidence disagrees.

  • Branching Storylines: Spend your time wisely to uncover unique subplots and different character endings.

Developed by Egnazol and published by A Few Dragons, UnQuollified is in development for PC via Steam.

Go North gets a July release date

Developed by Nigerian one-man studio gazuntype (great name), Go North is an atmospheric maze adventure game. The game combines wilderness, magic, and technology, and a demo will be available soon during Steam Next Fest. Last week, a July launch date was announced.

Here is a description of the game, via gazuntype:

Take a moment. Find peace in the present…and breathe as Dara, a lone explorer on the search for the Maze God. Finding him won’t be easy, but doing so grants explorers a single wish. Make Dara’s dreams come true by unravelling twisted paths of thicketed forests, sky islands, book-lined corridors, and more while utilizing discoverable items that merge magic with technology to give Dara an advantage. Zoom through straightaways on a moth-shaped hoverboard, get a bird’s-eye view from inside a levitating bubble, slingshot hanging items out of trees, and find other unexpected solutions.

Developed and published by gazuntype, Go North will be released for PC via Steam and Xbox Series on July 28. A Nintendo Switch version will follow.
