A launch window has been announced for 9 R.I.P. sequel
Idea Factory International has announced a fall 2026 release window for its upcoming title, 9 R.I.P. sequel. The publisher has also added Character, System, and Sound pages to the game’s official website. The character page includes descriptions and quotes from both beloved returning characters and new side characters; system pages reveal more about new choice types.

Here are the game’s key features, via Idea Factory International:
- Back from the Dead — 9 R.I.P. has returned from the grave with a sequel! With 9 full routes of love interests from the previous game, there’s sure to be a man, demon, or spirit for everyone’s tastes.
- We’re in Heaven — Heavenly Routes are back with a more direct sequel to the previous Heavenly Endings. These stories feature new obstacles to overcome. Make your choices carefully, or they will have consequences for everyone around you… Can you and your love prevail through the challenges of life (and possibly death)?
- Sugar, Spice, and Everything Nice — Need something more on the romantic side to sweep you off your feet? Godly Routes suit fans who crave a happy and sweet ending, serving as epilogues for each Love Interest’s Godly Ending in the first game.
- Killer Views — Character designer Yuuya kills with breathtaking visuals that once again manage to bring even the dead back to life.
Developed by Idea Factory/Design Factory and published in the West by Idea Factory International, 9 R.I.P. sequel will be released for Nintendo Switch this fall.
Hello Kitty Party Land announced for Nintendo Switch
Hello Kitty meets Mario Party in Hello Kitty Party Land, recently announced for Switch 2 and Switch. The vibrant party game is the first title from Sanrio Games to hit consoles. It features 16 partner characters and more than 145 beloved Sanrio characters total in a colourful world of 45 original mini-games and adventures.
The game offers multiple gameplay experiences, including board game-style modes, character dress-up, sticker collecting and fishing. It is designed with intuitive controls, accessible to new and experienced video game players. Play alone or with up to four players in local multiplayer.
From Bandai Namco, Sanrio Games, and G-STYLE, Hello Kitty Party Land will be released for Switch 2 and Switch on October 29.
Who’s ready for 30 minutes of Fable gameplay?
The answer to that should be: everyone. The Fable reboot has an awful lot of expectations put upon it, and the developers decided to share a half-hour gameplay video to further entice fans. The walkthrough is titled Building an Extraordinary Life. It shows the heart of Fable’s living population—a systemic, interconnected game-within-a-game. Charm new friends, raise a family, or chase wealth, power, and prestige… or all of the above! Albion evolves as you play, with consequences never too far behind.
According to Xbox Game Studios, this video showcases:
- Living an Extraordinary Life – Build relationships, form a family, and carve out your place in Albion.
- Meaningful Choices – Your decisions don’t just impact the story – they change people’s lives, and you’ll have to live with the consequences.
- A Nuanced Reputation System – Every NPC has their own personality and will react differently to you based on your actions.
Developed by Playground Games and published by Xbox Game Studios, Fable will be released for PC via Steam/Microsoft, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series on February 23, 2027.
Date Everything! got a big self-care update
It’s been a year since sandbox dating sim Date Everything! launched, and last week, Team17 and Sassy Chap Games released a Self Care Update for the title. It is available across all platforms and addresses community-requested issues and features.
Here is a brief description of the game, via Team17:
Date Everything! lets players explore a world where even the most ordinary objects hold romantic potential. Equipped with “Dateviator” glasses, players explore relationships with anything and everything – from their laundry basket to the very air itself – discovering unique personalities and untold outcomes as they get to know their inanimate household objects better.
Here is a list of some key updates:
- Key Rebinding: Change any buttons to ones that suit you better.
- Screenshot Mode: Temporarily remove Textbox-Chan! to take pictures of your beaus.
- Player Pronoun Change Option: Players can change their preferred pronoun at any time through Skylar Specs
- SPECS UX Update: Better visibility on SPECS updates, plus a new description for every level.
- Content Aware Support for Hector, Friar Errol, and Farya
- Updated Content Aware Descriptions: Based on player feedback, each existing Content Aware has additional detail and updated language
- Subtitles for Songs and Musical Pieces for Hearing-Impaired: Miranda, Bodhi, and Keyes will display lyrics and descriptions during their most musical moments.
- Curt and Rod Player Pronouns: We brought in Davied and Jacquis into the studio for new lines that address the player with correct pronouns!
- Daisuke/Gaia Interaction: We brought Daisuke (Tsuji) into the studio for special Traveller dialogue with Gaia!
