On April 6, Ogre Pixel surprised players by launching its latest hidden object game, Hidden Around the World. The Hidden in my Paradise developer’s new title is similar, but this time the adventure takes you around the world. Travel with a curious photography apprentice and her fairy companion to hand-drawn cities, including Paris, Tokyo, New York, Venice, and Mexico City. Uncover hidden objects and capture cozy moments along the way.

“We wanted players to have a relaxed, joyful time exploring famous cities, searching for tiny hidden objects, and completing fun missions,” says Steve Durán, Director of Ogre Pixel, in a press release. “Working on the assets for different cities was a delight. From Mexico City to Cairo, we discovered new details about these places and loved bringing them into the game. Our dream is to visit them all in person someday!”

Hidden Around the World blends hidden object gameplay with playful mechanics. You replicate snapshots from each city by finding the correct items and snapping a photo to earn coins, which can be used to buy Gacha machine tickets, where you can purchase items to decorate your own city. As you settle into each city, explore at your own pace. Peek around corners, look underneath objects, and, yes, pet the dog. Visit charming homes, bustling cafés, and peaceful parks while uncovering hidden objects in each cityscape.

Here are the game’s key features, via Ogre Pixel:

  • Search & Snap — Join Laly and Coronya as you find hidden objects, recreate charming scenes, and snap photos at your own pace.
  • Sandbox Magic — Build your own levels, decorate cities with shops, parks, and furry friends, and share your creations with the world. Explore levels made by other players for endless cozy adventures, both locally and online.
  • Wander the World — Travel through 12 iconic cities, from Paris to Tokyo, all lovingly hand-drawn with delightful details waiting to be discovered.
  • Treasures and Rewards — Earn coins, collect tickets for the Gacha machine, and unlock special assets to customize your own city.
  • Endless Adventures – With roughly 4 hours of core gameplay and 7+ hours for completionists, Hidden around the World offers cozy replayability. Relax, explore, and uncover hidden treasures, one city at a time.

Developed and published by Ogre Pixel, Hidden Around the World is available for iOS/Android, PC via Steam, and Nintendo Switch. It is localized in English, Spanish, French, Portuguese, German, Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese.

Lindsay picked up an NES controller for the first time at the age of 6 and instantly fell in love. She began reviewing GBA games 20 years ago and quickly branched out from her Nintendo comfort zone. She has has developed a great love of life sims and FMV titles. For her, accessibility is one of the most important parts of any game (but she also really appreciates good UI).
