Today, publisher Paradox Interactive, White Wolf, and developer The Chinese Room announced several things regarding Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2. First, two clans are being moved from the Premium Edition to the base game. Second, two new post-launch Story Packs were revealed. Third, the companies shared a new overview trailer for the game. Finally, details on the game’s physical editions have been announced.
Originally planned to be part of the Premium Edition of the title the Lasombra and Toreador clans have been integrated into Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2’s base game.
“Thanks to our community for the frank feedback on Bloodlines 2 and the Premium Edition,” said Marco Behrmann, White Wolf Executive Vice President and Bloodlines 2 Executive Producer, in a press release. “That feedback made it clear: Lasombra and Toreador belong in the base game, so that is what we are doing. We’d also like to thank The Chinese Room for their quick turnaround on the concepts for the post-launch Story Packs. We’re constantly impressed by their creativity and skill in weaving enticing narrative threads that expand on the main story in Bloodlines 2.”
That quote leads nicely into the second part of today’s announcements, Story Packs. Two additional Story Packs have been added to the game’s Expansion Pass (included in the Premium Edition, or each can be purchased separately): Loose Canon and The Flower & The Flame. Both will launch in 2026. Loose Canon follows the story from Brujah Sheriff Benny’s brutal perspective, and it unlocks a Benny-inspired outfit for Phyre. The Flower & The Flame follows Toreador Primogen Ysabella’s legendary path to creating her dark magnum opus, and it unlocks a Ysabella-inspired outfit for Phyre.
