The key art for Hanako's Flower Shop.

It was only a few weeks ago that heartfelt game Hanako’s Flower Shop was announced with a release window of April, and today a specific launch date was pinned down for late this month. The game follows the titular character, a young woman at a crossroads in life. She decides to run her grandfather’s beloved flower shop. The gameplay resembles that of a visual novel but also incorporates resource management elements.

Hanako’s grandfather is a renowned florist known for his skill and compassion, and that’s an immense legacy for her to uphold. While Hanako tries to live up to her grandfather’s reputation, she fears falling short. The choices you make and the relationships you build will shape Hanako’s story. Can she find her own voice?

The shop’s customers are diverse, with unique stories, dreams, and struggles. Hanako must truly listen and empathize to create a bouquet that speaks perfectly to the situation. Each flower represents emotions, allowing Hanako to use the flowers’ language instead of her own to connect with customers. Some examples include a red rose for love, a white lily for modesty, and an amaryllis for regret. A unique bouquet-building mechanic lets you craft arrangements.

According to a press release, Hanako’s Flower Shop features:

  • The Language of Flowers. Master a unique bouquet-building mechanic that lets you craft arrangements based on the symbolic meanings of flowers. Every choice you make—whether it’s a red rose for love, a white lily for modesty, or an amaryllis for regret—affects the story and your customers’ lives.
  • Non-Linear Narrative Shape Hanako’s journey through your decisions. Build relationships, uncover secrets, and decide how she grows into her role as both florist and individual.
  • A Vibrant Cast of Characters Meet a variety of townsfolk, each with their own quirks, challenges, and stories to share. From the eccentric artist to the shy teenager, every customer brings something new to the shop—and to Hanako’s life.
  • Stunning Anime-Inspired Visuals Immerse yourself in a world of lush, hand-drawn art and charming animations that bring Hanako’s story and the beauty of flowers to life.
  • A Story About Growth Experience a heartfelt tale of self-discovery as Hanako grapples with her fears, aspirations, and the weight of her grandpa’s legacy.

Developed and published by FantaJI Games, Hanako’s Flower Shop will be released for PC (Steam) on April 25.
