Sadly, no Yoshi in this one.

Last year at TGS, one of the games that I enjoyed playing the most was a Mario Party-style Demon Slayer board game. I thought there was about a 50/50 chance that it would get a western release and, luckily, it is. Now we have a new trailer for Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Sweep the Board!, and it’s reminding me how much fun I had with the short TGS demo.

It really is a very close mirror to Mario Party, with similar movement around the board, a similar approach to mini-games and so on. There are some boss battles, and of course the Demon Slayer theming, but if you like Mario Party, you’ll like this.

The game releases on Switch on April 26 worldwide. In the meantime, enjoy the trailer!
