The 24 games of Christmas! Day #9: Samba de Amigo: Party Central

Dancing the night away.

It’s that time of year again! We’re counting down the days to Christmas with our own little “advent calendar” – one new game to play over the holiday season each and every day.

As the year winds down, things get really busy. We’ve got Christmas parties to attend, the end of year rush on work, and all the rest of it. But it’s also a time where we take holidays, find a moment to relax, and enjoy the company of others. This is the best chance to catch up on some key games that you might have missed from the year… or just play that multiplayer game that you’ve been waiting to get a crew together for.

Day 9: Samba de Amigo: Party Central

Read our review here.

This entry on our little countdown should be self-explanatory: Christmas is a good time for parties, and Samba de Amigo is a great party game. The best thing about this game is that it gets everyone up and moving, and adopting silly poses. The more people get into the spirit of this game, the more fun it is, which makes it perfect for breaking out once you get to the bottom of the bottle of eggnog.

It’s also got a cracking fun soundtrack – it might not have Wham’s Last Christmas (don’t laugh, I genuinely love that song), but it has something for just about everyone. All bouncy, all silly, all colourful and full of energy. It’s truly delightful that SEGA brought this property back.
