Digitally Downloaded covers the new trailer For Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty

It’s amazing that Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is only a few weeks away at this point. It’s Nioh, but set in the Three Kingdoms era of Chinese history. It’s almost certainly going to be amazing, and the release is coming up so quickly now.

To remind us all of just how good the game is really looking, Koei Tecmo has shared a new trailer that really showcases the strength of the cinematics in conveying the story. For people who weren’t aware, Koei Tecmo tapped the talents of Kenji Tanigaki to direct the cinematics of this game. Tanigaki is perhaps best known for being the action director and fight co-ordinator of the Rurouni Kenshin film series. A film series that is well-loved for having mind-blowingly good action sequences.

In the game you play as a nameless militia soldier that needs to not only deal with demons and monsters, but also the likes of Liu Bei, Cao Cao, and Sun Jian. And Lu Bu, we assume. Not that we want to face down the Nioh take on Lu Bu. He was enough of a nightmare in Dynasty Warriors.

Anyhow, the trailer (and game) look awesome. It will be released for Xbox Series, Sony PlayStation 5, and PC.

Matt S. is the Editor-in-Chief and Publisher of DDNet. He's been writing about games for over 20 years, including a book, but is perhaps best-known for being the high priest of the Church of Hatsune Miku.
