Moero Crystal H: Exquisite Fan Service

Moero Crystal H is the most exquisite fan service you’ll ever see on a console. Compile Heart and localisation outfit, EastAsiaSoft, have really pushed the boundaries with this one, and even as someone who has played a lot of fanservicey games, this one had me opening my eyes wide. And often. It’s a hoot.

In this video I discuss the “Compile Heart” approach to fan service; what they’re trying to achieve with it, how audiences – here and in Japan – respond, and how well Moero Crystal achieves it in comparison to some of Compile Heart’s other work.

Be sure to let me know what you think of this game once you’re playing!
