Koei Tecmo is well known for taking its Dynasty Warriors “Musou” formula and applying it to all kinds of licensed properties. In just the last couple of years we’ve had Warriors games in the Hyrule, Fire Emblem, Berserk, Arslan, One Piece and Dragon Quest properties. Now we’re getting a real delight; a Persona Warriors.

Announced for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch, Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Warriors is in many ways a dream project, combining the slick style and cool vibes of Persona 5 with the entertaining action of the Warriors property.

We don’t have any significant details at this stage – just a teaser trailer and a tiny snippet of action. What we do know is that the game is billing itself as a JRPG – similar to how Dragon Quest Heroes was slightly more involved as an RPG than most Warriors tie-ins.

We can’t wait to hear more about this title. It’s not the direction we expected Persona to go, but what a side-story it is going to be.
