North America is (finally) getting a regular-sized New Nintendo 3DS, and it’s adorable!

The New 3DS XL has been out in North America for months now, but we have yet to see it’s smaller counterpart available without importing it… that is, until now! Nintendo has announced that on September 25 it will release a New Nintendo 3DS in it’s regular size. The New Nintendo 3DS has swappable faceplates, making it infinitely customizable.

The best part of this new is that this New Nintendo 3DS is themed, and the theme is Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer! It comes as a bundle with the system, the game, two cover plates, and an Amiibo card. Since we are huge fans of the series (check out Joseph’s review of New Leaf here), any Animal Crossing news is good news!

If you’ve been holding off on getting a New Nintendo 3DS – which I am very much guilty of – this may be the time to upgrade your hardware and get a (hopefully) awesome Animal Crossing game to match.
