That was pretty impressive! So, what have we gathered about The Witcher 3 thanks to this footage? Well, we have an enormous, grim open world with seemingly little to no restraint in exploration; high calibre scripting, motion capture, and voice acting; a contextual soundtrack flowing with string instrumentation that is elaborated with vocal accompaniment during skirmishes; a visceral and methodical combat system comprised of quick dodges, parries, and sword slashes that can be combined with “signs,” this world’s version of magic; a decision making system that impacts events in the story; appealingly grotesque creature design; and plenty of evil afoot.
