Bethesda and Arkane’s upcoming Dishonored is about a supernatural assassin taking cold blooded vengeance on those who’ve wronged him. Rat Assassin, the iOS companion to the game, is about killing rats.

They are dangerous rats, to be fair. RA is a completely separate gaming experience than the FPS/action title Dishonored that’s on the way this October- so don’t expect it to be a portable version of the console title. It’s also free to play though, which is always nice.

Cast not as an assassin, but as an exterminator of sorts; it’s your job to eliminate the surging rat population that’s infecting the populace of the city of Dunwall with plague. You actually do get to use some of the supernatural abilities that feature in the full game and you’ll get a compliment of weaponry to use as well. So you can get a handle on your slicing, dicing, and Time Bending skills before taking out fools in the full game.

Dishonored: Rat Assassin is available now (for free) for iPhone’s 3Gs and up and the iPod Touch 4. Grab it here.
