Here’s a tasty little event that might be worth popping over to. Westwood College’s Anaheim Campus is hosting a “Legends of Gaming” event this Saturday.

As you can probably guess from the fact this takes place on a College campus, this is an opportunity for aspiring game designers more than anything else. The event runs from 10am-4pm on Saturday, August 18, and people who can attend will get to see:

– Come interact with the “Legends” in the video game industry
– Learn about a career in video gaming
– Play and discuss video games
– Attend workshops and demonstrations from: Westwood College Faculty, key video game Legends and Gaming companies
– Enjoy keynote speakers and a Panel discussion from the Legends
– Water Balloon Trebuchet (!)
– Gaming students get to test the water by pitching their game idea concepts first to Westwood Alumni in the gaming industry, and then to the Legends

Sounds pretty interesting, right? Even better, though, there will be representatives from WayForward, Sony and Blizzard there to impart pearls of wisdom.

And as I mentioned, it’s free. So, if you happen to be in the area go have a look-see.
