We’re big fans of Music Unlimited here at Digitally Downloaded. The music service works great and looks great on the Vita and PS3. But the big problem behind the service is it hasn’t worked on smartphones and tablets, where people often go to listen to their music.

That’s all changing, though. Music Unlimited is coming to iPhone (and by extension iPad). It’s a free app download, and will be released on Friday (in the US, anyway). And of course it syncs with all the other devices that you’ve got your Music Unlimited account tied too.

Brilliant stuff. To hell with iTunes when a couple of dollars a month gets me access to some 15 million songs.
