The open beta phase has officially waved the flag as it opens up for Eutechnyx’s online racer- Auto Club Revolution.

With it’s closed beta phase completed, prospective players can now strap themselves into their cars and start up their engines by simply heading over to autoclubrevolution.com and signing up. Joining is both free and paid as the game offers a complementary membership and paid ‘premium content’.

Players can unlock free cars at regular intervals through the game’s progression as well as enjoying free access to performance upgrades, tracks, and the game’s many customization tools.  They can also optionally purchase items for the new cash currency E-Bucks which, alongside ‘Credits’ earned by racing and completing challenges, completes the dual currency system.

ACR also offers a pretty deep selection of cars with over 40 licensed vehicles and 150 part manufacturers. As far as raceways, you’re covered there too as the game showcases some nice real life (think Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, Silverstone and Infineon Raceway, etc…) and specially created one’s just for the game.

The new trailer shows off a few of the features open to players as well as giving a good sense of the social aspect of the game- looks like pretty neat stuff for race fans.
