Did Santa bring the first PSN update of 2012?

I know, I know- Christmas was a few weeks back (last year even!) but this week’s PSN update is just too chock full of awesomeness to be true! That is… if you’re a Plus member. Maybe it wasn’t Santa after all.

Mr. Claus, after all, more than likely wouldn’t make you pay a premium price for your ‘gifts’. But even the most cynical and judgemental of gamers would have to admit that the first week of 2012’s PSPlus catalog almost makes up for the price of membership. Not only is the entire Syphon Filter PSOne saga for freezies this week (if you’re a member), but you get the whole Back to the Future game from Telltale on the arm too!

There’s even more than that (including a nice discount on Rocket Knight), but BttF and SF all by themselves are an awesome little stack of freebies. You know, if Plus keeps this level of quality bonuses up, Sony could probably make it mandatory for PS3 owners… actually, forget I said that.
