Serious Sam 4 revealed! Oh YES!

News by Matt S.

Serious Sam is my kind of shooter. Silly, self aware, and pure wall-to-wall action. It reminds me of the early era of shooters (which happens to be the kind of shooters I prefer), and now Devolver Digital and developer, Croteam, has officially announced Serious Sam 4.

The game will be properly introduced at E3. In the meantime, we have a teaser trailer to share, as well as the below information from a press statement:

Serious Sam 4: Planet Badass reignites the legendary series and elevates the iconic full-throttle action, massive hordes of enemies, and explosive array of weapons to the next level. Please join Croteam and Devolver Digital at E3 2018 for the full game reveal and wishlist now on Steam for the latest news and update on Serious Sam 4: Planet Badass.

It’s not much to go from, of course, but what we can see in the trailer suggests that this Serious Sam will be parodying those wide, open-world games that have become the default in the industry. Parodying, and probably going to do it better.

We’re still a long way away from E3, but so far, it all sounds good to us.
