Publisher 1312 Interactive and developer Street Lamp Games announced that their narrative-rich supernatural puzzle game, Souls of Bombarika, won’t be released for PC and consoles until early 2027. This decision was made to “allow for further polish and content development.” Though this sad news comes attached to some good: a playable demo is now available on Steam! In the game, a lost soul possesses everyday objects to save innocent lives and rebel against sinister forces.
Souls of Bombarika begins with a mysterious young spirit who finds himself at the centre of a supernatural conflict when a powerful witch and three ethereal brothers unleash chaos inside a so-called “ordinary” house. Since this spirit cannot control humans directly, it must use its ability to possess objects, manipulate the environment, and trigger carefully timed chain reactions.
This puzzle adventure game is about observation, possession, and cause and effect. Each level is self-contained, with furniture, objects, and environments that players must manipulate. As new abilities and mechanics are introduced, the puzzles become increasingly inventive. Meanwhile, the deeper mystery surrounding the witch and three brothers slowly unfolds.
