Something is Wrong With the Library announced for PC
Strange Scaffold has announced haunted book-sorting simulator Something is Wrong With the Library. In the game, a billionaire has single-handedly revitalized your town. Unfortunately, to cleanse it, he kills homeless people and stuffs them into the local library’s walls. And so, the library is haunted. Supernatural forces throw books to the floor. During one tense night, organize the library while unravelling the story of complicity and peace.
“If you’ve ever been in a library at night, you’ll know that it feels unexpectedly warm and full of possibility–until you hear a single sound you don’t recognize, and realize you’re surrounded by towering shadows,” said Strange Scaffold Xalavier Nelson Jr. in a press release. “As a former librarian, I truly hope that, despite the objectively messed up things they’re going to witness, everyone who plays the game falls in love with their local library a little more.”
Here are the game’s key features, via Strange Scaffold:
- Fully-voiced story with an entire library of eerie manifestations to unlock.
- An authentic modern library filled with thousands of real book titles.
- Modular Chaos System – every playthrough gives you a different set of books to shelve!
- Organize fallen and missing books by Dewey Decimal System classification, author, and title.
- The Drowning Room.
Developed by Strange Scaffold and published in collaboration with Frosty Pop, Something is Wrong With the Library will be released for PC via Steam this year.
