Zanerdin: The Unbound announced for PC and PS5

Sanctuary Games, a new South Korean games studio, has unveiled its debut project. Zanerdin: The Unbound is a collectible turn-based RPG that offers strategic battles and gacha gameplay without microtransactions. All collectible characters, pets, and gear in the game are earned through gameplay.

“Although we’re an indie-sized team, we don’t believe the narrative needs to be indie-sized. And we believe gacha gameplay can exist and be enjoyable without microtransactions,” said Hyunduk You, CEO and founder at Sanctuary Games, in a press release. “We’re excited to introduce Zanerdin: The Unbound and the world of Kalatos, which brings together those beliefs and our mission to create games that represent what gamers want, not just a features checklist, in a collectible turn-based RPG experience.”

Here is a description of the game’s story, via Sanctuary Games:

Welcome to Kalatos, a fantastical world forged and protected by the power of the six Blessings: Water, Fire, Earth, Metal, Wind, and Electric. Each person is born with the power of one of these elements, defining their personal strength, social standing, and destiny. At the core of Kalatos lies the Chaos region, a desolate environment where all are born without any powers. Lead Zanerdin, born into the Chaos, into the Blessed lands to discover the truth about his family. Embark on the epic journey of Zanerdin: The Unbound; explore unknown lands and overcome the danger and conflicts that await, while shaping the fate of the planet and forging new legends.

Developed and self-published by Sanctuary Games, Zanerdin: The Unbound will be released for PC via Steam and PlayStation 5.

Moomintroll: Winter’s Warmth launches this April

Hyper Games will launch Moomintroll: Winter’s Warmth this April. A follow-up to Snufkin: Melody of Moominvalley, this game is also set in Tove Jansson’s acclaimed universe. This time, it follows Moomintroll himself on a heartwarming, story-rich journey as he wakes early from hibernation to a land covered in frost. The cozy puzzle adventure game isn’t a direct sequel — it’s more of a spiritual successor with many similarities.

Here are the game’s key features, via Hyper Games:

  • Third-person, top-down adventure – explore Moominvalley and enjoy the beautiful winter landscape
  • Story-driven exploration – discover the warmth of winter with Moomintroll
  • A winter wonderland — inspired by Tove Jansson’s Moominland Midwinter
  • Play as Moomintroll — everyone’s favourite Moomin on a quest for warmth and friendship
  • Environmental puzzles — set in beautifully crafted, cozy surroundings

Developed by Hyper Games and published with the help of Kakehashi Games, Moomintroll: Winter’s Warmth will be released for PC via Steam, Switch 2, and Switch on April 27.

Cozywood Creek announced for PC

Silver Lining Interactive has created a new game development studio, Silver Bullet, and its first game will be a peaceful idle companion for your desktop titled Cozywood Creek. It exists at the bottom of your screen and offers a lively, gently flowing creek. It is always present but never demands attention. Slowly shape and decorate your river bend, beginning with banks and plants. The ecosystem grows with the environment: birds will nest, frogs will settle at the water’s edge, and woodland creatures appear as suitable habitats are created. It’s designed to be a small, living world meant to be a gentle companion throughout the day.

“Cozywood Creek is a very intentional first step for us. It’s a soft launch, an opportunity to learn, grow and have some fun while we’re at it, before we fully step into a larger slate of releases,” said Ross Griffith, Head of Marketing

Developed by Silver Bullet and published by Silver Lining Interactive, Cozywood Creek will be released for PC via Steam in Q2 2026.

Lindsay picked up an NES controller for the first time at the age of 6 and instantly fell in love. She began reviewing GBA games 20 years ago and quickly branched out from her Nintendo comfort zone. She has has developed a great love of life sims and FMV titles. For her, accessibility is one of the most important parts of any game (but she also really appreciates good UI).
