It’s been a bit of a wait for Troublemaker: Raise Your Gang to come to everyone’s favourite dual-use gaming platform. The action adventure beat ’em up game launches for PC in March 2023 and Xbox in October 2023, and a sequel is being developed (Troublemaker 2: Beyond Dream), but it’s taken two years for the game to be released for Nintendo Switch. Troublemaker: Raise Your Gang will be released for the console in two weeks, at the end of July 2025.
In Troublemaker: Raise Your Gang, players head back to high school. Make new friends, beat up old enemies, and solve problems involving girls and grades. Just don’t get arrested or fail — your mom would be so disappointed.
Take on the role of Budi, a new transfer at one of Indonesia’s best high schools. Literally fight your way to the top through the school’s fighting tournaments, Raise Your Gang. Inspired by beat-’em-up classics, the game focuses on smooth and over-the-top combat. Punch, kick, break, smash, or even gently swing until Budi is at the top. Whether your opponent is a friend or an enemy, there can only be one winner.
Budy does make friends, a gang called Parakacuk. It is comprised of the smart class boss Rani, the mighty Zaenal, and… Boby. Boby is just Boby. Together, crush the challenges os high school! Budy also has a girlfriend. Now, he needs to become more popular, do homework, and learn what an over-the-top life is like.
Let’s not pretend the goal is to excel in academics: you have to pass, of course, but mostly you need to stay alive. Beating people up is fun, but it requires patience. Players can create combos by mixing up Light, Heavy, Advanced, and Sick move styles.
Developed by Gamecom Team and published by Soft Source Publishing, Troublemaker: Raise Your Gang will be released for Nintendo Switch on July 31. It is currently available for PC via Steam/Epic/GOG, Xbox Series, and Xbox One.
