The key visual for Magical Princess.

Based on the beloved Magical board game series, Magical Princess is a child-rearing simulator. Neotoro and MAGI have announced a (Northern) spring release window for the game. In addition, its demo has been updated to share heartwarming stories and fresh battle strategies. A new trailer revealed both announcements.

In addition to quality-of-life updates, balancing adjustments, and bug fixes, the updated demo includes two new stat-boosting outfits, opening new combat approaches during Alice’s first six months.

Here are the Magical Princess’ key features, via Neotoro and MAGI:

  • Step into the shoes of a newly-widowed father. Raise his beloved daughter Alice with patience and devotion as she navigates the early years of her enrolment at school.
  • Navigate the unpredictable twists and turns of parenting, where every choice has a lasting impact on Alice’s growth, influencing her Intelligence, Charm, Sense, and Stamina stats.
  • Encourage Alice to study, build her discipline and help her pursue a higher education. Daring parents might lead her down a path of troublemaking, leading to thievery, odd jobs, and a discovery of the darkest corners of her hometown.
  • Experience Alice’s journey while interacting with 30+ eccentric and expressive townspeople powered by Live2D animations. You never know…one of them might be her soulmate!
  • Delve into hundreds of thousands of words of storytelling, more than 700 pages of comic-style storytelling, 100 illustrations, and 170+ date events — all leading to one of 50+ possible endings.

Co-developed by Neotro and published by MAGI, Magical Princess will be released for PC via Steam this spring. It features English, Japanese, and Simplified and Traditional Chinese language options.

Lindsay picked up an NES controller for the first time at the age of 6 and instantly fell in love. She began reviewing GBA games 20 years ago and quickly branched out from her Nintendo comfort zone. She has has developed a great love of life sims and FMV titles. For her, accessibility is one of the most important parts of any game (but she also really appreciates good UI).
