Visual novel Birushana: Winds of Fate is a fan disc to Birushana: Rising Flower of Genpei, and today, Idea Factory International announced it would be bringing the visual novel to the West for Nintendo Switch in 2026. The game features nine routes and shows fans what life is like post-war for protagonist Shanao as she spends her life with one of her love interests from the first game. Players can also choose to return to the time of war and discover four new love interests.
Fifteen years after the Heiji Rebellion, the Heike clan is at the height of its power, while the Genji can still feel the devastation of defeat. Shanao, the youngest surviving male heir to the Genji name, lives hidden deep within the mountains. And he harbours a deep secret… that the youngest Genji heir is not a man.
New stories await the heroine after she’s carved out a new fate. These epilogues continue the story of the first game.

- We’re So Back — Beloved protagonist Shanao is back in this highly anticipated fan disc! Explore nine routes in total, including four Main Routes with all-new love interests, and five returning love interests in the Epilogues.
- What Comes After — Pick up the story where the original Birushana: Rising Flower of Genpei ended in five epilogue routes. With love having bloomed on the battlefield, see what life is like for Shanao and her man of choice after the war has ended.
- Turning a New Leaf — Return to the time of war in the all-new Main Routes. Featuring four new love interests, including the Sato brothers, relive moments from the first game from new perspectives and maybe even discover new romance.
- This Action Will Have Consequences — Throughout the new Main Routes, you will have to make tough decisions. These choices will change your affection levels with certain characters and ultimately affect the outcome of your story. Which ending will you receive?
