24 Games Of Christmas! Day #24: Hatsune Miku: Project Diva Megamix

2 mins read

As has become an annual tradition at DDNet, we are here to help you count down towards Christmas! One new game every day for the 24 days from December 1 to Christmas Eve. Think of it as a kind of Advent Calendar, if you will, giving you new tips and ideas for games to pick up and play at that rare time of year where everyone does have a little more time to indulge their favourite hobbies.

Also, it’s an excuse to post pictures of cute anime girls in Christmas gear every day. I won’t deny that we love doing that too.

Day #24: Hatsune Miku: Project Diva Megamix
The final game on the calendar should be the best game of all, right? Megamix might not have come out this year, but whenever you got it, you’re probably still playing it (I know I am!), and if you haven’t grabbed it yet, you really ought to. It’s Hatsune Miku! It’s perfectly-sound rhythm game action! It’s a game of pure joy and happiness.

Megamix, via the subsequent DLC and the like, has grown to offer 178 songs, and let’s do the quick math here. If you were to somehow complete each song (about 2.5 minutes) on four difficulty settings the first time each time, you’ll be looking at just shy of 30 hours in total. And that overlooks the fact that finishing higher difficulty tracks the first time around is almost impossible AND that once you do there’s the real goal of completing the track with a “perfect” rating. So not only is the game just the best thing ever, but it’ll also last you for this Christmas and many more into the future.
