The granddaddy of the Mystery Dungeon roguelike is finally making its way to Nintendo Switch, and that release isn’t very far away in the west at all. Spike Chunsoft has announced that Shiren the Wanderer: The Tower of Fortune and the Dice of Fate (what an exhausting name) will release in the west in 2020.

There’s also going to be a PC version, but for a JRPG like this, you really want it on Switch. Spike Chunsoft is promising “classic roguelike gameplay” and “gorgeous retro graphics,” meaning that they’re not going to do much to change up the Shiren tradition at all… and that’s exactly what fans want. This series, niche as it is, has a solid fanbase of people who specifically want it to remain unchanging.

There’s a new trailer, too. This game is looking so lovely. I cannot wait to get stuck in.
