Warner Bros. has been cruel in making me wait for this one. The best Mortal Kombat character of all, Cassie Cage, has finally been confirmed for Mortal Kombat 11, and her trailer is just perfect.
Cassie Cage is the daughter of Johnny Cage and Sonya Blade – two of the oldest and most well-known Mortal Kombat characters. Cassie herself has only started to find her place in the roster, but she’s a truly great character – a brilliant parody of millennials and the selfie generation and all that stuff, all wrapped into one.
Cassie’s also got an awesome looking robot helper, which looks like it’s used well for her unique moves. Also what she does to the make characters is brilliantly brutal. Try watching this trailer’s fatality and not wincing in pain.
Anywoo. Mortal Kombat 11 was already my most anticipated fighting game outside of Dead or Alive 6, and now it has my favourite character from the series, so I’m happy. There’s not long to wait for this one now at all!
