The 24 Games of Christmas! Day #22: LittleBigPlanet 3

2 mins read

We’re counting down to Christmas!

There is a long history in Christmas in counting down the days from the first of December to the big day – after all, who hasn’t had an Advent Calendar at some point?
So we’re celebrating the silly season with a countdown of our own. One game that has been released this year that makes for the perfect Christmas game, each day, all the way down to Christmas Eve.
You can see previous games on our own little Advent Calendar on the side of the site. Just click on any date that has passed and you’ll be redirected (don’t get too excited and jump ahead though – the current page will simply reload). Hopefully it keeps you and your family in the good times for the whole of the best time of year.
Happy gaming!

Day #22: LittleBigPlanet 3

(Read our review of the game here)

LittleBigPlanet 3 has everything you could ask for from a Christmas game. Co-op multiplayer? Check. Fun solo modes that facilitate creativity? Check. The oh-so-essential ability to don a Santa suit? Checkeroonie.
So much of what makes the game lovable is the customisation options and, at this point in the franchise, the limitations are laughably minute. You can build your own winter wonderland through heartfelt ingenuity or boot up community-crafted wintry levels in a heartbeat…or as soon as those slightly sluggish load times permit, anyway.

But most importantly, it means you can do so with friends and family in tow the whole way through. Combined with the infinite potential for alternate costumes, why not take Sack Santa, Sack Elf, Sack Penguin, and Sack Polar bear for a good ol’ virtual toboggan ride this Christmas ’round the new PS4?
