We’re counting down to Christmas!

There is a long history in Christmas in counting down the days from the first of December to the big day – after all, who hasn’t had an Advent Calendar at some point?
So we’re celebrating the silly season with a countdown of our own. One game that has been released this year that makes for the perfect Christmas game, each day, all the way down to Christmas Eve.
You can see previous games on our own little Advent Calendar on the side of the site. Just click on any date that has passed and you’ll be redirected (don’t get too excited and jump ahead though – the current page will simply reload). Hopefully it keeps you and your family in the good times for the whole of the best time of year.
Happy gaming!

 The 24 Games Of Christmas
Day #15: Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney Trilogy

Looking for a slightly more morose take on Christmas festivities? Phoenix Wright has got you covered with multiple murder cases that take place smack-dab in the most wonderful time of the year.
If the prospect of slaving away in a courtroom as a defense attorney whilst solving a myriad of death-related cases doesn’t immediately tarnish your Christmas spirit, you might be surprised at just how well this series meshes with the mood of the holiday season.

I’ve found myself playing the original games during moments of downtime around Christmas several times in the past and, though fatal incidents shouldn’t be taken flippantly, there’s enough light-hearted comedy sprinkled throughout the many trials and tribulations in Phoenix Wright’s life (as well as some amusing acknowledgement of the holiday season through props and the like) to make this game a worthy one to whip out by the fireplace.
