We have a lot of hope for The Evil Within. With Resident Evil’s degeneration into a safe action series, the horror genre itself has been left for independent developers, and while these games are often great, we can’t help but hope that a horror game with a decent budget is on the way.
Bethesda is very, very keen to prove that The Evil Within is that game. Every press release talks about the game’s focus on true horror, and it does have the creator of Resident Evil, Shinji Mikami, at its helm.
So as part of the campaign to promise us that The Evil Within is indeed horrific, Bethesda has released a new trailer that shows people being scared while playing the game.
It’s very artificial stuff, but hey, we’re still pumped for this game.
