The Nintendo Download has an amoeba

2 mins read

Normally something that a living, multi-cellular, entity might want to avoid; this amoeba actually looks like it might be a pretty good time.

Amoebattle is a microscopic RTS where you lead a squad of amoeba’s into battle against a mysterious infection. I’ve always held that the 3DS/DSi would be a great place for a real time strategy title (much as I think the iPad is) and it genuinely bothers me that more developers don’t take advantage of the hardware in that way. Crossing my fingers for this one.

Now, other than Amoebattle, there isn’t much at all up for download; so if you’re looking for something to buy, I hope viruses and cysts are your thing.

One little bright spot- if you’re into classic arcade experiences, then you might be happy to see Super Hang-On appear on the VC. An oldie, but a goodie.
