Wheels of Destruction tears it up on PSN

Ready for another dose of car combat? Developer Gelid Games announced today that they’ll soon be releasing Wheels of Destruction: World Tour on the Playstation Network. *Update

Yes, Twisted Metal is coming next week, but WoD is a very different looking title than Dave Jaffe’s baby. Set in a post apocalyptic future (okay so it’s not all that different), Wheels of Destruction has a cool dystopian look to it and packs in a few nice little extras like a Capture the Flag mode:

Wheels of Destruction: World Tour pits players in an arena of vehicular carnage as they play against each other online in Capture the Flag and Deathmatch. Five distinct car classes make for deadly cutthroat car combat with a unique futuristic aesthetic – all powered by the Unreal Engine. Wheels of Destruction: World Tour brings gamers together just to tear them apart again in an addictive, easy-to-learn yet hard to master, battle behind the wheel.
In a lawless, post-apocalyptic world, Wheels of Destruction: World Tour is a demolish-or-be-demolished competition of extreme four-wheel wreckage. Just make sure you’re ready for chaos and carnage!

There’s no release date as of yet and no price tag either, but this is one little car combat title that definitely bears watching.
*Update- I was under the impression for some reason that this was to be an online only affair; not the case. Wheels of Destruction will also feature a full single player experience.
