Original Soul Calibur coming to iOS

While we anxiously await Soul Calibur V, we’ll have something to tide us over. Namco Bandai is bringing the original Dreamcast game to iOS with just about everything intact. That includes time attack, arcade mode, survival,  training, extra survival, and museum mode as well as the original 19 playable fighters. Oh, and the obligatory Game Center features.

The game will launch on the 19th of this month, although Namco Bandai did not reveal any pricing information. Here’s hoping this port is a successful one, as it may be difficult to pull off some of the maneuvers from the original game with only two potential touch points at a time. It at least looks the part.

  • Hi Philip!

Which ones have you played? I've only messed with Mortal Kombat, but I found that one to control really well.

  • I think it's a cool notion, but in general most fighting/action games just don't appeal to me on my iPad the way they do when I have a controller in-hand.  Though, I am pretty excited about SC V coming out soon. 🙂
