Good review – I loved Civ 2, 3 and revolutions on my 360. Have not yet tried this one – though I've looked at it several times now. I'm sure I'll eventually dive in when I have a smaller backlog of games and I find it on sale. Always one of those titles I'm aware of, but just haven't quite gotten down to playing.

thanks for the feedback. 🙂 Always good to meet a fellow Civ fan – Civ 1 hooked me whilst Civ 2 basically ate an excellent portion of my childhood away, and I was happy it did. How did you find the 360 experience?

Yeah, Civ 2 chewed up a lot of my time when it came out. Interesting note for Civ 2 was that my wife actually played it for hours on end too. The reason that's significant is she's never been much of a gamer. One of her best friend's husbands still plays Civ 2 regularly, which I think is a testament to how well that game was made in the first place.
I really liked Revolution on the 360. My oldest daughter did too. She played it for probably 10-15 hours, which is like a quarter of what I lodged. I had beaten the easier levels of difficulty with every culture at one point – though I did eventually trade it is as I am prone to doing w/ console games. They did a good job of streamlining the interface without 'dumbing down' the game really. 🙂
