NISA has released a new trailer for its upcoming Monark, a game being developed by Lancarse (Lost Dimension, Zanki Zero) and published by FuRyu. This trailer, titled “Allies, highlights just how visually interesting this game is shaping up to be.

The game has a pretty deep concept, too, as per the description: “develop your Ego through various psychological tests to enhance the power of your Fiends, and lead your forces into battle to fight with and against the seven “Pactbearers” that are corrupting the academy. Embrace the power of your madness to gain strength, but take care not to delve too far, lest you risk losing yourself. Fellow students and instructors will lend you their aid in your quest to resolve the anomalies throughout the campus.”

I do like games that promise musings on psychology and such. These kinds of stories almost always encourage deep thinking in response.

We do have a while to wait for the game, unfortunately. It will release in early 2022 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam.
