The 24 Games of Christmas! Day #6: Nintendo Land

It’s that time again! Michael Buble’s smooth voice serenades us over the radio with his brilliant rendition of “Let it Snow.” Houses are covered with bright lights, tinsel, green and red colours. Children anxiously count down the days, hoping they were good enough for a visit by Santa.

It’s a magical time, with one other little benefit – most of us also have breaks over Christmas. Breaks means time to play games!

It has been a great year for games, and no doubt there are some great ones that you’ve missed. And so we at Digitally Downloaded will count down to Christmas with one game recommendation for you each day.

Enjoy, and happy holidays!

Chances are, if there’s a gamer in the family, there’s a Wii U under the tree (or already firmly attached to the TV). While there’s plenty of great games that launched with the Wii U Nintendo Land is probably the best from a holiday gaming point of view.

For a start it’s good both in single player and multiplayer. It’s fun after Christmas beers. It’s fun for those short bursts of play between Christmas lunch and Christmas dinner. It’s the game that the non-gaming family members can pick and and join in with.

And it comes packed-in with the premium Wii U. Win, win and win again. If Nintendo Land is a sign of things to come with the Wii U, we’re in for a great generation indeed.
