The insanely-popular Monster Hunter series is coming to the iPhone, and features one-on-one battles against some favourites from the series. Your hero will be controlled by swiping and tapping the screen to attack, defend and evade.
No comment on a western release yet, but be assured - it'll happen.

Interesting. I've only played two of the MH games - one on the PS2 and I have the Wii version, though I've not sunk nearly enough time into it as of yet. I'll be curious to see how well the substantial inventory management and combat are handled.
It seems to me that this game is "just" the fighting, I don't know if it'll have all those inventory and world maps things... so kinda like arenas.
I could be wrong though, but I suspect this will be a far more limited game than the console ones.
On the other hand, it's still Monster Hunter.
That's sort of my impression as well, though - it does make me wonder what the reception will be if those elements do get stripped out. If it doesn't feel like or play like Monster Hunter, it will make people question whether it's truly a part of the series or just a game that happens to have the name.
