There Are No Ghosts at the Grand launches in Early Access this December
Friday Sundae has announced a December Early Access launch window for adventure game There Are No Ghosts at the Grand. The developer also revealed a character named MacBrushy, a talking and singing Scottish power tool played by Billy Boyd of The Lord of the Rings fame. The character began as a joke about Clippy but became more complex as development progressed.
Here is a description of the game, via Friday Sundae:
When Chris David unexpectedly inherits a dilapidated English hotel, he has exactly 30 days and 30 nights to restore the crumbling edifice before it… or something else… claims him. Nothing is as it seems in the hotel—lurking beneath the veneer of paper and paint he applies by day, something horrible shivers and slithers in the night. Don’t believe them when they tell you that there are no ghosts at the Grand.
Developed and published by Friday Sundae, There Are No Ghosts at the Grand will be released in Early Access for PC via Steam/Microsoft in December, followed by a full release for PC and Xbox Series.
Hollywood Hustle: A Prop Collector Simulator announced for PC
Cozy, physics-driven cleanup scavenger simulation game Hollywood Hustle: A Prop Collector Simulator was announced last week. In the game, you dig around the abandoned trash of Hollywood backlots and uncover hidden treasures. All types of props from old films can be found, whether from fantasy epics, sitcoms, or sci-fi blockbusters. Sort all the loot, ship orders to film sets, and resurrect old animatronics to help with it all.
Here are the game’s key features, via its Steam page:
- Physics on everything: every item in the studio is a real object.
- Six pavilions, six worlds: fantasy, sitcom, science-fiction, and more waiting to be uncovered.
- Jobs come from everywhere: film sets need their props back, and some clients aren’t even in the movie business.
- Full packing kit: tape, box cutter, marker. These orders need to look professional.
- A helper robot and animatronics you can put back to work.
- A talent tree of upgrades and new abilities.
Developed by Woodpile and published by Maximum Entertainment, Hollywood Hustle: A Prop Collector Simulator will be released for PC via Steam in 2027.
Visual novel Seeker Eye announced for PC and PlayStation 5
MAGES. has announced a new “non-science” occult visual novel, Seeker Eye (or Shikai), from the staff of the Science Adventure series. While creators such as Fumihiro Kitahara, Tatsuya Matsubara, and Naotaka Hayashi are best known for depicting the mysteries of the world through logic, this time they will explore a supernatural realm that cannot be explained by science.
The game begins with a ghost story, The Red Roof House, available on the MAGES. Horror Channel for two years. Players who read the story themselves become infected by the supernatural, and the ghost story ends up involving the characters and the player.
Developed and published by MAGES., Seeker Eye will be released in Japan for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch this winter.
