During today’s Xbox Partner Preview 2026, AdHoc Studio announced that its superhero workplace comedy game Dispatch is coming to Xbox later this year. The game is by the writers and directors of games like The Wolf Among Us, and is set in modern-day Los Angeles.
Play as Robert Robertson, AKA Mecha Man. His mech-suit was destroyed in battle, and he has had to take a job at a superhero dispatch centre. He’s no hero here, just a measly dispatcher. He’s put in charge of a group of rehabilitating ex-supervillains, and you must manage the roster while navigating office relationships and rebuilding Mecha Man’s mech-suit.
Here are Dispatch’s key features, via AdHoc Studio:
- Shape Your Story – In Dispatch, every decision you make influences the unfolding narrative. From banter in the breakroom to life-or-death situations in the field, your choices affect your relationships with the heroes, their allegiances, and the path your own story takes.
- Deploy Your Heroes – Use the strategy map to review ongoing emergencies and deploy the right (or wrong) heroes to deal with them. Balance the risks and rewards as you make tactical decisions, knowing that each choice can have lasting consequences for your team and the city.
- Manage Your Roster – Managing heroes sometimes goes beyond their powers. Each hero comes with quirks, flaws, and baggage you’ll need to navigate to keep the team together. Upgrade their skills and unlock abilities to boost their effectiveness in the field.
Dispatch’s voice cast features well-known actors, including Aaron Paul (Breaking Bad), Laura Bailey (Marvel’s Spider-Man), and Alanah Pearce (Cyberpunk 2077).
Developed and published by AdHoc Studio, Dispatch will be released for Xbox Series (and PC via Microsoft) this (Northern) summer. It is currently available for PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, Switch 2, and Switch.
