There’s a new 5-minute overview trailer for Mario Tennis Fever

Nintendo has released a new trailer for Mario Tennis Fever, which introduces new characters, game modes, and experiences to the beloved Mario Tennis series. It features the most playable characters in the series, too: 38! These characters include the debuts of Goomba, Nabbit, Piranha Plant, Baby Wario and Baby Waluigi.

Tried and true techniques like Topspin, Slices, and Lobs are back, but there’s also a new twist: Fever Rackets! Each racket from the 30 new ones has unique abilities: the Ice Racket turns parts of the court into a slippery tundra, the Mini Mushroom Racket shrinks your opponent to bite size, and the Shadow Racket creates a duplicate of your character. Players will need to fill up their Fever Gauge before unleashing a Fever Shot, which their opponent may try to send back.

Developed and published by Nintendo, Mario Tennis Fever will be released for Switch 2 on February 12.

Psychological horror game The 18th Attic launches next month

Developer Steelkrill Studio has released a new trailer for The 18th Attic, a game inspired by classic survival horror titles such as Fatal Frame and Resident Evil. The trailer reveals new gameplay footage, as well as the game’s release date. The game features ghost hunting and a cat.

Here is a description of the game, via Steelkrill Studio:

In The 18th Attic, players investigate paranormal anomalies using a Polaroid-style camera. Supernatural entities can only be revealed and confronted through photography, placing emphasis on careful observation, tension, and environmental storytelling. A key feature of the game is its cat companion, which is directly based on the developer’s real-life cat. Players can interact with the cat to stabilize their sanity during encounters with paranormal phenomena, adding an emotional anchor to the experience. The cat companion can also be customized, including its name and appearance.

Developed and published by Steelkrill Studio, The 18th Attic will be released for PC via Steam/Epic/GOG on February 2.

Murder mystery game The Real Face of a VTuber launches this week

The Real Face of a VTuber is a new genre of murder mystery game, and Lilien Games and WhisperGames have announced that it will be released for PC this week. After a murder rocks a VTuber studio, multiple suspects come forward claiming to be the face behind the same online idol, Kuripa, who was live on air when the crime occurred (which is a pretty solid alibi). The game blends courtroom intrigue and digital drama, and has a clear Ace Attorney inspiration.

The game’s features, via its developer and publisher, include:

  • A unique murder mystery centred on the VTuber phenomenon
  • Realistic courtroom mechanics where you must follow proper procedure
  • Nonlinear storytelling: choose who to prosecute and shape how the story and truth unfold
  • Multiple endings based on your deductions and strategy
  • Optional assists from your clerk for new players; intricate logic for mystery veterans

Developed by Lilien Games and published by WhisperGames, The Real Face of a VTuber will be released for PC via Steam on January 13.
