Marvelous reveals a lengthy gameplay overview trailer for Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar

If you’re tired of the hustle of the city, looking for a life of comfort, and have a green thumb, a love for animals, and a desire for a breath of fresh mountain air, Zephyr Town should make a fine new place to live! It is home to a world-famous market, which has fallen into a state of disrepair. The town is seeking someone to revitalize the area by establishing a farm that will supply goods to the bazaar. And what would that look like? The latest trailer for Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar explains:

Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar is inspired by the classic handheld title of the same name, building upon and improving it. The world is more expansive and alive thanks to new visuals, new characters, expanded story, and voice work in story events (this is a first for the Story of Seasons series). The town has a unique weather system that allows players to use the wind to make life a breeze.

Developed by Marvelous, Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar will be released worldwide for PC via Steam, Switch 2, and Switch on August 27.

Time Flies launches at the end of July

Players can experience the life of a fly in the hand-drawn adventure Time Flies, which will be released for PC, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch at the end of this month. The game is a lighthearted yet thoughtful experience about our time on Earth. As a fly, your life is short, but your bucket list is long. So what do you do? Learn an instrument? Read a book? Get drunk? Make someone smile? Relax and listen to music? We’re all going to die, so make the best of your time.

The game’s features, from a press release, include:

  • Explore a painstakingly hand-drawn, densely detailed world
  • Dozens of unique and obscure goals to accomplish
  • Numerous intriguing ways to die
  • Grimly variable life expectancy based on player location
  • Delightfully accurate fly physics

Developed by Playables and published by Panic, Time Flies will be released for PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch on July 31.

Flower in Us launches later this month

A release date has been announced for the mystery adventure game Flower in Us: it will launch in later July for PC. The story-driven puzzle adventure game has players cooperating with a mysterious woman who is tied to a pillar to escape from a locked basement. But is she a friend or foe? You’ve lost your memory following a violent assault and have no memory of arriving in the basement, so this young woman is your only hope. As the game progresses, you will need to decide whether she’s innocent or sinister.

Here is more about the game, from a press release:

  • Crack the Codes and Unlock the Secrets: The basement is filled with locked compartments and boxes that require passcodes to open. By examining your surroundings and showing found items to the woman, you may draw out useful information. Use these clues to decipher the codes and advance further into the mystery.
  • A Flower That Blooms Like a Hallucination: Just as you begin to make progress, the story takes a surreal turn. Out of nowhere, flowers bloom like hallucinations, transforming the basement into an eerie, dreamlike space. As reality begins to shift, you’ll come to realize that the world may be governed by rules different from your own.

Developed by Chalkseagull/Team Gypsophila and published by PsychoFlux Entertainment, Flower in Us will be released for PC via Steam on July 25.

Two actors face the horrors of Hollywood in Dead Take

Two new “audition tape” trailers for Dead Take have been released. In the game, Neil Newbon and Ben Starr play two actors competing for the same role, and audition tapes are part of the process. Starr plays Vinny Monroe and Newbon plays Chase Lowry, both vying for the part of Willie in a Hollywood executive’s next film.

Players take on the role of Chase as he searches for Vinny in the exec’s secluded mansion in the Hills following a glitzy party. Navigate escape room-like puzzles and splice together videos found during your search to uncover the darkest secrets behind the entertainment industry’s glittery facade.

Developed by Surgent Studios and published by Pocketpair Publishing, Dead Take will be released for PC via Steam this year.

Lindsay picked up an NES controller for the first time at the age of 6 and instantly fell in love. She began reviewing GBA games 20 years ago and quickly branched out from her Nintendo comfort zone. She has has developed a great love of life sims and FMV titles. For her, accessibility is one of the most important parts of any game (but she also really appreciates good UI).
