Nintendo has released a five-minute overview trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake. It covers the story, the kingdom of Hyrule and its characters, battles, puzzles, and, of course, the ocarina. This remake features a Hall of Fallen Heroes, overhauled visuals, fully voiced cutscenes with expanded dialogue, and full symphonic orchestral music. The game is scheduled to launch for Switch 2 in early November.
Play as Link, a boy aided by a fairy named Navi, as he journeys through the kingdom of Hyrule. Meet lively characters, battle monsters, and use your cunning to overcome obstacles—all in search of the mythical Triforce, which can save Hyrule from falling into darkness.
At the heart of Link’s quest is the ocarina, which creates powerful melodies that stir space and time and lead Link to his destiny. In this version of the game, you can hum a melody Link has learned or use an actual ocarina, and the Switch 2’s microphone will hear it, causing the game’s ocarina to respond.
The game supports ZELDA NOTES, a service within the Nintendo Switch app for smartphones. Two new amiibo figures will launch in 2027; they unlock in-game masks. Existing figurines can also provide useful rewards if tapped during gameplay.
Developed and published by Nintendo, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake will be released exclusively for Switch 2 on November 5.
