During this year’s Six One Indie showcase, publisher FuRyu revealed its upcoming title, ANOMALITH. The new survival action horror game combines the tactical combat of Resident Evil 4 with the anomaly horror worldbuilding that’s become so popular in recent years. Fight through monstrous anomalies and reality-bending zones, become more powerful with the Demi-Humanization System, and discover the truth behind the Otherworlds. ANOMALITH will be released for PC, PlayStation 5, and Switch 2 this October.
The year is 19**, and spatial anomalies known as Otherworlds have suddenly appeared. The Danger Zone Countermeasures Office has not been able to repel the threat or determine its origin. Take on the role of investigator Reona Minazuki after she’s been awakened from a decade-long sleep inside an anomaly known as the Sarcophogus. While there, she’s acquired a keen sensitivity to the Otherworlds. Reona’s goal isn’t just to protect humanity; it is also to help a dear friend.
ANOMALITH features third-person gunplay designed to keep you on your toes against erratic enemies, and stunned enemies can be melee’d into submission. The realize-bending liminal spaces can both confuse and unsettle the mind; picture an apartment with inverted gravity or a train that never ends. Inventory management is especially important, as is situational awareness. Reona can acquire and upgrade active and passive abilities from the anomalies using the Demi-Humanization System.
You can tailor the game to suit your fighting—and fashion—style. The game features a massive variety of weapons, attachments, outfit items, and artifacts. There are more than 300 customizable items for nine different parts of Reona’s figure.
At home base, meet a broad cast of characters, unlock powerful upgrades, and learn more about the world being defended. In the Otherworlds, collect more than 200 investigation reports that detail the behaviours and mysteries of each anomaly to paint a clearer picture of the threats.
Developed by Winning Entertainment Group and published by FuRyu, ANOMALITH will be released for PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, and Switch 2 on October 29.
